Photovoltaic systems connected to the grid are often abandoned to themselves, as the user always receives electricity from the electricity and does not notice any failure of the system, especially if it only involves a reduction in the energy produced and not the complete system shutdown (a typical case is that of a fault that puts a string or a portion of it out of service in a multistring system).
The lack of maintenance thus determines a loss of production which can compromise the economic plan. Furthermore, a poorly maintained system can pose a fire and electrocution hazard. In essence, the two parameters that are affected by the maintenance of a solar energy production system are performance, or optimization of yield; and safety, or the minimization of danger.
